Duplicate Lease Detection
Lease102 warns you when a new lease looks like a duplicate of one you already hold, so the same contract is not counted twice.
When you create a lease
If another active lease already uses the same contract reference, a non-blocking warning appears after you save. The lease is still created. Review it and delete the duplicate if it was entered by mistake.
When you import from a document
On the import review screen, any draft whose contract reference matches an existing active lease shows a Possible duplicate banner before you approve it, so you can skip or correct it.
Non-blocking by design
The check warns, it never blocks. Legitimate leases that happen to share a reference (for example a renewal you are recording separately) can still be saved.
