Withdraw a Xero posting that was wrong
If you post a period to Xero and then find something wrong with it, you no longer have to unpick it by hand. Open Posting history on the Reports page, or a connection's history in Settings. Each posting now shows one journal per lease, with the amount, the journal date and the reference Xero holds, and from there you can reverse the whole posting or a single lease.
What happens depends on the state each journal is in, decided per journal. A journal you have already approved in Xero is voided, which reverses the entries and changes a period you may have reported on. A journal still sitting as a draft is deleted, which changes nothing in your accounts because a draft never reached them. You are shown which is which before anything happens, and a reversal touching an approved journal has to be acknowledged first.
Lease102 reads each journal back afterwards and records it as withdrawn only once Xero confirms it has gone. Where Xero refuses, you are told why against the lease it applies to, and the reason stays on the row. The commonest reason is a locked period; a lock stops an approved journal being voided, but not a draft being deleted.
The same release also stops a period being posted twice by accident: the sync now leaves out leases already posted for that period and tells you which, with the option to send them again if that is genuinely what you want.
Reversal is available for Xero. Sage and Business Central post one combined journal per run, so there is no individual journal to withdraw.
