Move a lease onto Quarter Days from the lease form
A lease whose rent is recorded as a timeline, meaning a reduced opening rent, rent-free months, or stepped uplifts, can now be moved onto a Quarter Day payment calendar directly from the lease edit form. Set the frequency to Quarterly, choose the calendar (English, Scottish, Calendar or Irish), and pick how each instalment is priced: equal instalments of a quarter of the annual rent, which is the UK convention and the default, or each quarter's actual day-count share for leases whose wording apportions rent daily.
Saving rebuilds the payment schedule from the timeline onto the calendar's own payment dates. Broken first and final periods are pro-rated by day count, a quarter containing a rent change is day-weighted between the two rates, and the recalculation is recorded in your Audit Trail. Clearing the calendar converts back the same way.
Payment timing, in advance or in arrears, can also now be corrected on the edit form, and the change re-prices the lease immediately.
