Quarterly rent on a fixed day of the month
The rent payment day now works for quarterly leases that pay on a fixed day of the month, alongside monthly and annual. Leases paying on the English or Scottish Quarter Days continue to use the Quarter Day calendar, which remains separate.
Contract hire schedules also read more cleanly. Payment periods now keep their contractual day of the month across February, so a lease paying on the 30th no longer drifts and shows a small spurious payment near the end of the term. The closing months of a 3 + 33 profile are labelled "no further payments due" rather than "rent-free", and a first period that happens to be a whole month is no longer described as pro-rated.
