A modified lease's figures now survive every edit
When a lease is modified, for example a rent review under an index or an agreed change to the term, Lease102 remeasures the outstanding liability at the date the change takes effect, and the schedule shows a step change at that point.
We found and fixed a defect where ordinary actions could quietly replace that remeasured schedule with one recalculated from the lease's original figures, as though the modification had never happened. Saving the lease form, recalculating, editing payment rows, recording an impairment and even downloading the schedule as a CSV or Excel file were all affected. The modification record itself always remained visible, which made the loss hard to spot: the history said one thing and the schedule another.
One consequence to be aware of: on a lease that has a modification, editing the underlying payment rows no longer changes the headline liability and asset figures, because recalculating them from scratch would discard the modification. Remove the modification first if you genuinely want to remeasure from the original terms.
If you modified a lease before this fix and its schedule looks flat where you expected a step change, contact us and we will restore it.
