A lease ending mid-quarter now charges that period
Where a Quarter Day lease ends part-way through a quarter, the last instalment before the end would otherwise buy cover running past the end of the lease. Lease102 previously left it out altogether unless the schedule carried an explicit final tier, which understated the liability and left the schedule unable to amortise to zero.
It now charges the days that fall inside the lease term and no more, apportioned as annual rent multiplied by days over 365. Under FRS 102 the payments that enter the liability are those for the right to use the asset during the term, so days after the term ends are excluded and days before it are not.
Where your lease apportions the final period on a different basis, add a final tier from the last Rent Day to the lease end date with the contractual amount, and Lease102 uses that instead.
