Car park and storage rents now come in too
The definition of "Rent" in a commercial lease often bundles more than the premises rent. Import now captures fixed additional rents reserved as part of the Rent and payable with it, such as a car park, storage or signage rent. They appear under Additional Fixed Rents on the review screen, and where they run for the whole term on the same payment dates they are added to each instalment automatically. A £3,000 a year car park rent adds £750 to each quarterly instalment.
Service charge, insurance rent and any variable amount are not treated this way. An additional rent that does not run for the whole term is flagged for you to add by hand rather than folded in silently.
Lease102 also now reads the lease a second time and lists every recurring payment it defines, so a fixed rent defined in the lease but missing from the captured schedule raises a warning.
