Disclosure Notes, and a correction to our guidance
Reports, then Disclosure Notes, now produces for any period: interest expense on lease liabilities, total cash outflow for leases, the discount rate types you used with the proportion of the liability measured on each, and any liability remeasured for a modification at an unchanged rate. The figures come from the same schedule as the Liability Roll-Forward, so the two reports tie exactly.
A correction as well. Our documentation described a maturity analysis of lease liabilities as a required Section 20 disclosure for lessees. It is not. The only maturity bands a lessee must disclose are the commitments for short-term and low-value leases. The requirement is often assumed because IFRS 16 does ask for one.
The Maturity Analysis report remains available and useful, since you need the amount falling due within one year to split creditors on the balance sheet. It is now labelled as supporting that split rather than as a Section 20 requirement.
